Where Does Your Money Go?
At USK we believe in giving back. The money you spend here is used to fund several charities that we feel align with our beliefs. Please see the list below for a reference to what we believe in and what we chose to do with a portion of the money we receive. Please note, this list is not inclusive, it shows the monthly donations USK makes. We will make one time donations to local charities and causes.
The Wounded Warrior Project: “To honor and empower Wounded Warriors who incurred a physical or mental injury, illnesses, or wound, co-incident to your military service on or after September 11, 2001.” The mission statement is simple and so is the cause. Our vets need our support. Our vets deserve our support. Our vets will get USK’s support.
All Within My Hands: The Mighty Metallica stepped up and put their money where their mouth has always been. “Metallica's Nonprofit is dedicated to creating sustainable communities by supporting workforce education, the fight against hunger, and other critical local services.” I think that says it all.
mikeroweWORKS Foundation: Not everyone is built for a 4 year college. We need skilled workers who will work to minimize the wage gap and create a robust labor force. There’s dignity in skilled labor. We support those who chose that path.
Connie Dwyer Breast Cancer Foundation: “Through our sponsored facilities, the Connie Dwyer Breast Cancer Foundation serves underprivileged and vulnerable women by ensuring the availability of top-quality breast-health services that include screening, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up care. The Foundation provides financial assistance to programs and needs deemed most crucial to the health and wellbeing of patients and offers collaborative support to provide resources, education, advocacy and empowerment to the women we serve.” So many of us have had a friend, loved one or family member effected by breast cancer, including us at USK. Being able to contribute to those who need care is a small sacrifice.
